Hope Church’s target date for returning to worship in Hope’s sanctuary is August 9 at 10:00 am. Reservations are required. Sign up online beginning Monday, August 3. We ask that those who attend worship wear a mask.
We are eager to be together and will be carefully preparing for those who are ready to return to join us with social distancing and less than 50% capacity. For those who will join us in worship, we anticipate we will have about 150 spots. Online worship will continue at 10 am. We encourage those in the most vulnerable populations to continue worshiping from home.
It will be a different experience – we know that, but we do anticipate joy being together in the Lord. Here are some changes you can anticipate:
ENTRANCES | When you arrive, please enter door 3 or 13. We will ask you wait on an arrow in the Link to be ushered into your spot in the sanctuary.
WORSHIP | Rows will be roped off in the sanctuary to help maintain social distancing. We hope to sing with appropriate safety measures in place. There will be an exit offering taken, rather than passing a plate or baskets. The worship time will be around 50 minutes. There will be no childcare provided during this phase of reopening. After worship, attendees will be ushered out row by row. We will used designated exits at door 1, 2, and 15.
SANITIZING | We are taking many extra precautions to sanitize throughout the building. We will have hand sanitizer at entrances and exits and cleaning stations.
BATHROOMS | Only 2 people will be allowed into the bathrooms at a time to allow for social distancing.
TOUCHLESS EXPERIENCE | We are working towards having a touchless experience. This means that most doors will be propped open. There will be no handshaking or hugs for “passing of the peace.” We will not be using bulletins during worship.
