Say “Yes” to the Spirit’s Call

Say “Yes” to the Spirit’s Call

Have you ever said “no” to the Holy Spirit? If so, how did that feel? Did you use any excuses to make your bad feelings go away? I’m guessing that you have probably used one of the excuses that I have used.

When I ignore the Spirit, the plans still go forward and I unfortunately miss out on the Joy that was intended for me.  Why did I do that? Why was I so afraid? Thankfully, I am forgiven and new opportunities arise each day.

That being said, my past failures have inspired me to a personal challenge. I’ve challenged myself to respond to the Spirit’s call to action with a “yes”. I must especially consider my response when my internal answer is: Nope, no way, not happening, not me or not now.

What is the Spirit stirring up in you?

  • To spend time in the word each day?

  • To share the good news of Jesus with an acquaintance or stranger?

  • To have a noticeably positive attitude at work?

  • To forgive someone who doesn’t deserve your forgiveness?

  • To say “yes” to blogging?

Will you join me by personally challenging yourself this week to consider saying “yes” to the Holy Spirit’s call to action? I want to hear about all God is doing, please share your stories in the comments section below or email me at jared.carr6@gmail.com
